how perfect that 31 days before the most important day of my life, my Maid of Honor "bows out". greeeat. Well, see, she'll blame it all on me. I FULLY blame her. i don't know if I've complained about Phonemany in here or not, but she's SUCKED as a Maid of Honor. I've offered, numerous times, to help her plan the shower. I've even suggested that she just doesn't do the shower to help her save money and stuff. I didn't HAVE to have one. Well, she INSISTED so whenever I'd ask her how things were going or if she needed help or WHATEVER, she'd get snappy & defensive. My shower wasn't a secret at all. She bought the invitations, last week, while I was with her. Yeah, the shower's in 2 weeks and she JUST bought the invitations. Not only that, but she complained about her dress, she complained about the color of the dress, she complained about my original wedding colors, she complained about the shoes, she complained about her hair, she complained about needing to lose weight, she complained about having to drive so far. she caused me 2389423987 pounds of stress.
i can honestly say, i am relieved.
My new Maid of Honor, to whom I am EXTEMELY grateful that she accepted and is willing to buy the dress on such short notice, will be my friend Jaime. Jaime has been like my voice of reason the entire time I've been dealing with my mom's issues, moving out, and Phonemany. I've told her so much, and vise versa, and we've only known each other for just over a year (she started working here the Monday after I did). Also, she actually REMEMBERS things, unlike Phonemany when I had to tell her 29343928 times not to text message me anymore since I can't retrieve them off the wireless web (gotta love sprint) right now. another plus, is that she UNDERSTANDS me and what I'm going through because she's in her own commited/serious relationship. She's already helped me more than Phonemany has and I just asked her today!
Now, don't get me wrong, I will miss the good times with Phonemany but ever since she started her new birth control, it's been downhill. i will also miss her son. It sucks when you lose a friend but I'm glad I don't have the stress anymore. She told me to "F*CK OFF" at the end of the last email, after she told me to go choke on a cheeseburger. she was ticked that I had got her. i know she'll regret this decision and i truely wish her the best in the world, especially with Jaden (her son). She has a tendency to, several days after an incident like this, act like nothing happened but I watched her do this with Chris so I'm just going to ignore her. At least till after the wedding.
Wow. This must be a bad week. I hurt my ankle, lose my photographer, and lose my maid of honor (& best friend). what next? BRING IT ON.
This saturday is my shower at Greg's momma's house. i'm excited :)
